Barebari sun kafa daularsu da ake kira da Kanemi tun a wajen ƙarni na 8 (800 AD). Ƙasar Barno tana maƙwabtaka da ƙasashen Hausa daga gabas. Sun kuma daɗe suna mu’amala da Hausawa. Hasali ma ƙasashen Hausa sun taɓa zama ƙarƙashin daular Barno (Ibrahim, 1978 p. 105). Haka tsohuwar hanyar kasuwanci ne da ta tashi daga ƙasashen Hausa zuwa na Masar da Sudan ta ƙara haifar da cuɗanya a tsakanin Hausawa da Barebari.
Addinin Musulunci
ma ya bayar da gagarumar gudummawar wajen mu’amala tsakanin Hausawa da Barebari.
Ƙasar Barno ta kasance cibiyar karatun Alƙur’ani a wurin Hausawa. Sakamakon
irin wannan cuɗanyar aka sami sababbin sunaye da suka shiga ƙasar Hausa daga Barno (Ibrahim, 1978 p. 105). Irin waɗannan sunaye sun haɗa da:
a. Ciroma: Wata sarauta da ake yi wa ‘ya’yan sarki. Laƙabin da ake yi wa ɗan sarki a Barno.
b. Galadima:
Babban muƙami a masarauta.
c. Maina: Sunan da ake kiran ɗan sarki da shi.
d. Unguwarzoma: Mace wadda take taimaka wa mata wajen haihuwa
(ar-biƙi).
e. Yarima: Ɗansarki. Ɗaya daga cikin sarautun gargajiya.
Sarautar da sarki yake naɗa wa ɗansa ko ‘yan’uwansa.
Haka kuma
ana kyautata zaton cewa sunaye kamar: Biraima da ake kiran mai suna Ibrahim,
da Bukar da aka taƙaita yadda ake kiran Abubakar da
Garba wanda ake ambaton mai suna Abubakar, duk sun zo
ƙasar Hausa ne daga Barno. Yayin da aka kira mai suna Abubakar da laƙabin Garba saboda an rufe Sayyidina Abubakar a yamma da kabarin
Annabi S. A. W., sai aka dinga kiransa ALGARBIYYU daga wannan ne aka samo
laƙabin Garba.
a. Inna: Yar uwa ko ƙanwar uwa ko wadda take da dangantakar jini da mahaifiya.
b. Yaya: Laƙabin da ake kiran Wa ko Ya da shi. Kuma ana kiran wanda
sunansa na yanka ya zo ɗaya da na wansa ko yarsa. Amarya takan kira uwar
gida da shi. Haka ma ƙwarƙwara da shi take kiran matar ubangidanta. Matan aure suna kiran wan mijinsu ko yayar mijinsu
da wannan sunan.
Naɗewa
Haƙiƙa lamarin suna ga al’ummar Kanuri muhimmin abu ne. Yana samun
sauye-sauye daga lokaci zuwa lokaci. A gargajiyance, an ga yadda al’ummar ke sanya
suna ta la’akari da abubuwa mabambanta da ke kewaye da rayuwarsu. Sun haɗa da yanayi da abubuwa da dabbobi. Da addini Musulunci
ya zo musu kuwa, sai aka samu bunƙasar sunaye. A nan ne aka samu sababbin sunaye da aka tsirar
daga sunayen Allah da sauran muhimman mutane da sauran halittu masu dangantaka da
addinin na Musulunci.
