Can people of a country depend on the sighting of the new moon of Ramadan in another country?

Can people of a country depend on the sighting of the new moon of Ramadan in another country?

𝐀𝗡𝗦𝐖𝗘𝐑❗️

Yes; they should also fast if the moon is sighted in another country. The Hadith of the Prophet has made it clear that wherever the moon is sighted, then that sighting would affect all the Muslim ummah. The Prophet said: when you see the new moon then fast and if you see it again the breaks you fast. What should be understood here is that: the statement "if you see the new moon then fast and if you see it break your fast" is an instruction for starting the fast and ending it to whole of the Muslim ummah without exception. Although there are some differences of opinion among the Ulama concerning the visibility of the new moon. Some Ulama have expressed that it may be possible for the new moon to be sighted in Nigeria without it being sighted in Saudi Arabia. So every country should depend upon its own sighting.
