The Poem

THE FINAL NEWS?

In the realm of last tidings,

A new genesis unfolds,

A dwelling ablaze in one corner,

Elsewhere, structures succumb,

A soul lost to the shadows,

A woman submerged in sorrow's depths,

A child's fading breath,

Another wounded in innocence,

In ceaseless demise, we flee,

Chasing after the elusive wind,

Anticipating the ensuing chronicle,

Beyond the realm of finality's embrace

But after the final news

Come yet, another news.

The Story

It's disheartening to witness the overwhelming presence of tragic stories on social media, and especially in one's life or family circle.

I experienced some cycles of tragedy and human vulnerability sometime ago that left me heartbroken. At the same time, anywhere you turned on social and regular media, it is one terrible news after another, and so I was just wondering what the next news would be.

Good or tragic?
