Dua For A Suitable Spouse

𝑸𝑼𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵❓

My age is increasing, and I am really worried about my marriage. I want to get married but finding it difficult to find a girl and that also the right one. Is there anything easy that I can do or pray?  Please reply to my question. JazakAllah.

Praise be to Allah

Allah Ta’ala has already preordained the events and happenings in a person’s life. Concerning your time of marriage, that too has been preordained; therefore, you should not become despondent and lose hope in the mercy of Allah.

We are living in this world of means. When searching for anything, one adopts appropriate means to acquire it. Marriage is one of the most important aspects of one’s life. You should also adopt means and seek counsel from appropriate people in searching for a suitable husband.

You may discuss the issue with some responsible person in the family, perhaps an elderly reputable person to assist you in searching for a suitable spouse.

Apart from adopting the means, the following duas are effective. Allah will put barakah in the means you adopt and guide you to the right spouse.

Finally, Allah will decree what is best in His infinite knowledge for you.

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You; Indeed, I have been of the transgressors'

This is the supplication of Dhun-Nun (Nabi Yunus Alaihis Salaam) while he was in the belly of the whale. The prophet ﷺ said: So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.”

 (Jamiut-Tirmidhi)

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

“Indeed I am in need of goodness” (Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 24)

This is the supplication Musa Alayhis salam made when he left Misr and went to Madyan. Allah accepted his dua and granted him the daughter of Shu’ayb Alayhis Salam in marriage.

‏ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ ‏

“O Allah! Give to us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.”

(Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Al-Muslim)

Together with all the above, perform two rakaats Salaatul Haajah, recite abundant durood and implore Allah to bless you with a good and pious spouse.

May Allah Ta’ala bless you with the most compatible partner who is a means of happiness for you in this world and the hereafter. Aameen.
